Q01:	What is the unlock key and where can I find it?
A:	You must enter an unlock key when you install our software. You can get unlock key absolutely free of charge. Please visit our software download page to get unlock keys for any of our software products.
Q02:	Should I install any third-party software to get Openworld Presenter working?
A:	Current version of Openworld Presenter produces content compatible with RealOne® Player. Therefore Openworld Presenter requires RealOne® Player to be installed on user PC. You can use the basic (freeware) version of RealOne® Player, available for download. Click the link above and find the link to freeware version. Openworld Presenter can help you to encode video files in several formats (AVI, MPEG, ASF, etc.) into RealMedia format which RealOne® Player uses natively. All you need to get this option is to install RealProducer® or Helix® Producer. Freeware basic version is available at RealProducer Homepage. Please note that you must have MS DirectX® version 7.0 or above (9.0 is recommended) being installed to have the possibility of MPEG files encoding into RealMedia format. You can download latest DirectX® version from Microsoft website at www.microsoft.com. Openworld Presenter can import MS Powerpoint® presentations and extract graphics from them in order to use in your presentations. Also you can produce slides using tree-shaped text description of slide in the form "title > bullet > subbullet...". You must have MS Powerpoint installed on your PC to have these options working.
Q03:	What kinds of media files can I use?
A:	You can use the next types of files for your presentation: • video files showing a speaker or any other content with sound. • synchronized speech transcript scrolling down automatically as speaker talks. Transcript may contain hyperlinks. • still pictures (graphics) as accompaning slides, displayed sequentially as speaker talks. Slides can be of JPEG, PNG, or GIF format. Also you can use short SWF clips as slides. In this case clips will be shown sequentially. • text materials and hyperlinks appearing in a special "Links" areas. You can have one or two such areas on the screen. Please refer to Openworld Presenter Help for more information about how all that works.
Q04:	What video formats are preferable?
A:	Basing on our experience we recommend to use RealMedia format for your presentations. There are few reasons to make such choice: • RealMedia is the native RealPlayer format. Therefore RealPlayer plays it in the most accurate and soft manner. This is especially important in the case of complex videotracks combined from several video files played sequentially. If you'll use MPEG, you'll see an image drops when such complex videotrack passes from one file to another. No drops seen in the RealMedia case. Also RealPlayer performs quite accurate navigation across RealMedia file even in the online case. This is what we cannot say about its working with MPEG or AVI files. • RealMedia is a streaming video format. You can deliver it over Internet using RealServer® software or any HTTP server. In the case of RealServer you can deliver the same file with several bitrates. Particular bitrates are defined while the file is encoded by RealProducer. • Also RealPlayer cannot work with Windows Media formats like WMV, ASF, etc.
Q05:	Can I import my Powerpoint presentation?
A:	Yes, you can. Openworld Presenter can import all slides from PPT file and save any of them into JPEG, PNG or GIF format of your choice. Please take into account that neither animation nor sound will be imported. Only static slides (text and graphics) can be imported. If you wish to import sound then please export it first using Powerpoint options and then add it as soundtrack to your Openworld Presenter project. Use "Load Multiple Video" dialog for that.
Q06:	Can I directly burn CD-ROMs with your software?
A:	No. This is not a CD burner. Though we're considering to add such features in near future. Now Openworld Presenter only prepares a CD-ROM image, i.e. the directory structure completely adequate to your future CD content. All you need is to drag-and-drop all directories and files "as is" into any CD burning software. CD autorun program is also generated while Openworld Presenter produces CD image.
Q07:	How can I remove Openworld logo from HTML pages?
A:	You must purchase commercial version of our Online Tools Pack which includes unlimited version of treemenu and search engine java applets. Prices are pretty low. Please visit our Order Page for more information.
Q08:	Can I insert my own logo into your Presentation Player?
A:	You can use our Logo Upgrade Service. Please visit Logo Upgrade Service web page to get more information about how it works. You can try it for free.
Q09:	Can I create presentations in my national language?
A:	Yes. Please look at OCB.INI file located in your Openworld Presenter installation directory. You can find the next section: [Treemenu] TreeFontName=Arial TreeFontCharSet=1 You can change the values above to modify both font and character set to display all text input elements of Openworld Presenter Interface (like treemenu, transcript editor, etc.). CharSet possible values are described in OCB.INI file. East Asian doublebyte character sets also are supported though in a different manner. In this case (Chinese, Japanese, etc.) language is enabled by the settings shown below: [Treemenu] TreeFontName=MS Shell Dlg TreeFontCharSet=1 ; Double-byte Characters Support ; Chinese Traditional (AKA BIG5) [ExportLang] RealTextFont=²Ó©úÅé RealTextCharSet=big5 HTMLFont=²Ó©úÅé HTMLCharSet=big5 The settings above will produce both HTML and RealText output in the language required. Of course Chinese BIG5 is given just as an example. You must assign your national font and charset.
Q10:	Can I change the TreeMenu background image?
A:	Yes, you can. Please look at OCB.INI file (described above). You'll find the next section: [Skins] MenuSkin= SlidesSkin= You can assign any file in JPEG format to work as skin. Please note that this image will be multiplicated across the window area. Therefore it is a good idea to use images with "soft" edges.
Q11:	I'd like to show several slides simulaneously. How can I do it?
A:	Yes, you can. Though there is only one slide region in the Openworld Presenter screen, it doesn't prevent you from placing slides to several positions inside this region. E.g. you can assign 640 x 480 slide region for your presentation and use slides of 320 x 240 size. In this way you can create up to four different slide "subregions", which will contain slides appearing in any manner -- either sequentially or in parallel with each other. Use Slide Time and Slide Duration settings to adjust slides appearing.
Q12:	Can I concatenate several videofiles into one continious videotrack?
A:	Yes, you can. Use Load Multiple Video dialog for that. You can create two sequences: videotrack and audiotrack. In other words you can concatenate several video files and audio files in two parallel chains. For example you can use SWF animation as video and play sound in parallel with this animation.
Q13:	If a speaker makes a long pauses in a speech, how can I synchronize transcript?
A:	You must use Time Markers. Time Marker is a special tag inserted into transcript which causes its scrolling speed variation. You even can stop scrolling for a time. Use Insert Time Marker option for that.
Q14:	Oops... I can't see video if I use SWF 6.0 format with embedded video. What to do?
A:	Nothing. This is unsupported feature of RealPlayer, which can play SWF files but just animation, i.e. without sound and video. Future Flash Version of our Presenter will support this video format natively. Now you must use another format for your videotrack.
Q15:	Oops... Sound isn't heard when I use SWF format with embedded soundtrack. What to do?
A:	Yes, this is unsupported feature of RealPlayer, which can play SWF files but just animation, i.e. without sound and video. You can export sound into MP3 format (e.g. using our another tool called Flash Explorer, and insert this MP3 file as soundtrack using Load Multiple Videos dialog.
Q16:	Oops... My video is upside down after encoding! What is wrong?
A:	This is a well-known bug of RealProducer which works incorrectly with some MPEG4 video codecs like DivX, etc. We could suggest to uninstall RealProducer and Windows MediaPlayer. Reboot your PC. Then first install Windows MediaPlayer of the latest version available at MS website for your OS. Please choose video codecs update option when you will install WMP. Then reboot your PC and install RealProducer. This actions sequence helps in most cases.
Q17:	Oops... My video is of strange color (e.g. of green) after encoding! What is wrong?
A:	See the answer above. This is just the same problem.
