How to add transcript to your presentation:

A Transcript (in .txt format) of the speaker's talk is next incorporated into the presentation. The transcript appears on the screen in the form of scrolling text, which is synchronized with the speech as well as with the slides, and web-links that may be used in the presentation. To achieve this, first select the text file containing the word-for-word Transcript of the speaker's talk that you want to import into the presentation. Note: You also have the option of using text, which may not consist of an exact transcript of the talk, but this would mean that the process of synchronizing text with the talk and other elements of the presentation would be more difficult to achieve. A Transcript of the author's speech is a vital part of the presentation, as it lends clarity to what is being spoken at every point. All the other audio-visual elements of the presentation are set to run in sync with this scrolling text.

It is assumed that the author of the presentation has already created an exact word-for-word Transcript of the speech in the video track. However, if such a Transcript is not available, even a simple text file containing information such as slide titles, separated by blank lines, can be made to serve the purpose. Follow the steps given below to assign the transcript to your presentation:

Select the relevant file containing the video track transcript from the appropriate folder on your hard disk.

Drag and drop the file into the text field “Transcript File” located just below the file browser.

Click the Apply Transcript button to import the transcript file into your project .

IMPORTANT! Please note that you will lose all synchronization markers when you attempt to directly apply/assign new text into the Transcript area while editing any existing text. Instead, use the Transcript Paragraph Editor to update existing transcript to avoid synchronization information losses. When you make changes directly to the imported Transcript by importing/inserting new paragraphs into the Transcript window of the presentation, the synchronization markers created earlier between the Transcript and the Video file are lost. To avoid losing the synchronization between the Transcript and Video track, use the Edit Paragraph menu on the Synchronization page or right click on the Transcript area after positioning the cursor at the point you wish to edit/insert new text. Choose the “Edit Paragraph” option and proceed to make your changes.
