Synchronizing the Transcript
Synchronising Transcript to Video/Audio:
Time values must be inserted at intervals throughout the Transcript, so that viewers can simultaneously hear the speech and see the associated part of the Transcript.
To begin synchronizing your Transcript with the Video/Audio track, first click on the “Synchronizer” icon in the Openworld FlashPresenter program.
Next, click on the “Transcript” tab to get started, and follow the steps given below.
The following illustration shows at a glance, the steps involved in the process:
Transcript Synchronization
Set the Video/Audio to the start position, with the Text (transcript) set to start at 00:00:00
As you play and pause the Video/Audio track throughout your presentation, you will drag-and-drop the time value field (shown just below the base of the yellow arrow in the screenshot above) into the related paragraph of text. A clock icon with an automatically assigned time value will appear at the beginning of the Transcript paragraph you have targeted, after each drag and drop action. The Transcript will begin to scroll upward as you continue with the drag-and-drop actions of placing the time markers into succeeding paragraphs.
Note: After you have assigned clock icons with time value tags to all of the paragraphs in your Transcript, you can then associate Contents menu items, slides, and hyperlinks with any paragraph. This also can be done by dragging and dropping these items (which can be found under other tabs within your Synchronizer workspace) into your time-tagged Transcript as explained above.
